Arts at the Abbey, concert series
Arts at the Abbey is a concert series located at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina. The series features performances by locally, nationally, and internationally recognized artists and ensembles, showcasing a variety of musical styles from classical guitar to 18th-century chamber music. The concerts are held in the Abbey Basilica and are free for students and the community to attend. The series is supported in part by The Associated Foundation and Gaston Community Foundation, with assistance from local donors. In addition to the concert series, Arts at the Abbey also includes the Abbey Chorus, Abbey Instrumental Ensemble, and Carolina Pro Musica, a group dedicated to promoting early music. Donations to support the series can be made online or by mail. The Abbey Players also stage theatrical productions, such as Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
