"I had a wonder stay! I’ve never been to a hostel before but everyone was so nice and welcoming and the rooms and bathroom were very clean. The area is also perfect, there’s a bunch of cafes, restaurants, and things to do in the area."
"Stayed here twice and it's been great both times. The people working there are really nice and it's a good place to meet new people (Oscar, Eli, and Saraswati). It's been fun getting to know guests that come from different parts of the world. It has a great location in Asheville, near downtown but not in the center, so you get peace and quiet while being near everything. Will come back again!"
"I stayed in my van at Bon Paul & Sharky's and it was the best! It's in my very favorite part of Asheville, and I could walk to everything I needed! The parking lot is small, and cozy, and quiet. I loved my time here and will definitely be back!"
"The only persons name I got was Eli! But there was a young lady also! Amazing people! So nice! She was quick to help when I kept having issues with my door. ::my own fault: Eli greeted me when I got back from being out. Clean room. Clean bathroom! Happy I picked this place to stay at!!"
"A bit disappointing. Previous reviewers have mentioned the horrendous bed in private room 1. It is unbelievably uncomfortable and so noisy. Every time you move, it sounds like the door of a haunted house. Given how many times it's been mentioned, I feel like the hostel should act on this. The blinds are also inadequate. The top blankets are not cleaned between each guest, which I think is unacceptable on hygiene grounds. At least put a duvet cover over it. Previous commenters have also mentioned the lack of personnel, which is just plain weird. Although apparently staff live on site, there is no sign of them (or they didn't make themselves known). There was also no sign of the promised breakfast. The rooms and bathroom were clean enough but the kitchen was a bit sticky. Other hostel guests were nice and the area is quite cool (walkable to lots of good stuff). We found parking on the street easily enough."
