The Forsyth Tech Mazie S. Woodruff Aviation Technology Lab, located at 2739 Aviation Drive in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide students with hands-on training in aviation technology. The two-story, 53,000 square foot building includes a 12,000 square foot airframe lab, classrooms, and components labs for various aspects of aviation maintenance and repair. With a focus on Aviation Systems Technology and Aviation Electronics (Avionics), students at the lab will have the opportunity to earn associate degrees in these specialized programs of study. The facility is expected to be completed by Fall 2020 and will play a crucial role in preparing the next generation of skilled workers for the aviation industry.
