"Very poor service at the Latham branch. Was given incorrect information by three tellers here, then was told by assistant manager that they didn’t know what they were talking about. I was told my request for service would be handled, but I should call this assistant manager and remind her, because “ I don’t always check my service items”. I called and only ever received voice mail, left messages, no return phone call and no results. So now I have to drive back over there and see if I can get the issue resolved. I never heard of having to remind someone to do there job instead of them reviewing their own tasks that are open and in need of attention. Overall an aggravating experience that I won’t be repeating after I close my accounts today."

"***UPDATE TO EARLIER REVIEW*** After what I would classify as my worst customer service experience ever, I left a concerning review with 1 star. I then thought it appropriate to call customer service back to share my story with hopes of finding some comfort and support from another individual. Basically, I was hoping for Sunmark to make amends. Boy was I wrong, they doubled down. After a bill processing error on their part, which we now have evidence of, they were dismissive of my grievance with Sunmark and my earlier experience. Their solution, "I will pass this along to my Manager". Apparently, it's a massive inconvenience for me to even speak with said Manager. On top of that, still no apology. Accidents happen, I get it. Misplacing $1,300 and threatening credit bureau involvement - even that I can move past. Repetitive denial of accountability and brushing my concerns off, that's where I draw the line. Shame on you Sunmark. I will continue to update these posts (good or bad) as Sunmark either responds or continues to brush me off. We will see if that "Manager" sees my incident worthy of a personal discussion."

"Rude liars, at least Nicole was. We closed on our home and brought the check for the leftovers after down payment on our new home, to the Latham Sunmark as our checking and savings is through Sunmark. Before depositing, we asked Nicole how long it would take the check to clear, as we need this money immediately for appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator). Nicole told us it would take "7 days" for the deposit to clear. Realizing basically no bank will have 20+k in cash to hand us, we decided to deposit rather than go to the issuing bank. When given the receipt, it stated the check would clear 13 days from the date of deposit. When asked, Nicole stated "I said 7 business days". No, no you did not. I said this, she flat out lied again, this time thinking if she did so rudely we'd just accept her blatant lie. My wife confirmed Nicole did NOT state 7 business days. It's always something with Sunmark. From non-working ATMs at the Schenectady branches, to rude employees at the Altamont Ave location, to rude and flat out liars at the Latham location. We got our mortgage through someone else, I believe it's time to switch everything to them. Oh yeah, can't forget the constant debit card fraud, the promises to look into issues and never receiving a call back, and the CEO, Frank DeGraw, who's such a coward he can't talk to a customer that is experiencing constant issues. Hide in your ivory tower Frank, when you run your business the way you do, it's not long for this world. I can't be the only one experiencing these issues and as people get fed up, like me, they'll start leaving you, like I am in the process of now."
