Welcome to the Forest of the Dozen Dads Nestled in the serene landscape of Cooperstown, New York, the Forest of the Dozen Dads offers a unique escape into nature. Located at 325 Blacks Road, this historic park spans 127 acres of lush greenery and stands as a testament to early 20th-century reforestation efforts. Established in 1920 by the visionaries of the Conservation Department, now known as the Department of Environmental Conservation, the forest was born from a collaborative initiative to restore clear-cut hillsides.

Welcome to Wilber Lake Cooperative Fishing Area & Reservoir, a serene park located on Wilber Lake Road in Oneonta, New York. Nestled in the heart of nature, this picturesque area offers a peaceful retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. Easily accessible, look for the DEC sign and parking area on Wilber Lake Road, or use the second entrance off East Street. The park features a newly installed bridge by the City of Oneonta, connecting the logging road, known as Upper Cross Road, between the Wilber Lake Road and East Street entrances. Enjoy a scenic out-and-back walk along this road, which spans approximately two miles. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, explore the unmarked trails in the woods. One such trail, located on the East Street side of the bridge, follows the shoreline and loops back to the logging road.
