Located in Vestal, New York, the Binghamton University Nature Preserve is a 190-acre park and tourist attraction that boasts a 20-acre wetland. The Friends of the Nature Preserve group, made up of faculty, staff, students, and community members, work to preserve the natural areas on campus and in Broome County.

Originally owned by Robert Schumann, Nuthatch Hollow has been generously gifted to Binghamton University's Environmental Studies Program. The area is also the proposed site of a groundbreaking Living Building, further enhancing its role as a center for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
