"First time stopping in. It was crowded as it was a Saturday night but we quickly were served at the bar. Ordered a Tom & Jerry & I see why these are one of Buffalo’s favorite. Also ordered crème brûlée which was baked perfectly. Staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely will be stopping back to try out more of the menu."
"The Place is one of my favorite restaurants in Buffalo! I’ve come here many times for lunch, dinner, drinks and have always been impressed by the quality of food - until today. First time getting takeout and I was thoroughly disappointed. In the past, I’ve ordered and thoroughly enjoyed their fish fries, particularly the gluten free option they had. This time around was a different experience. The beer battered fish fry was decent, but I also ordered a white wine fish fry, a gluten free fish fry, and the spaghetti squash entree. The most underwhelming was the spaghetti squash - majorly overpriced for a tiny portion that also leaked through the container. The white wine fish itself was tasty, though I was expecting something else for the gluten free fish fry. Additionally, they did not provide all the sides that were supposed to come with it - they just gave us fries, no coleslaw or macaroni salad. The fries were overly salted with chunks of salt at the bottom (see photo). Overall, very disappointed in the quality of their takeout. I’m sad that one of my favorite restaurants has let me down on what is supposed to be a Buffalo classic."
"This is a very good, neighborhood restaurant. It definitely has a local feel and I appreciate that. Super friendly staff and great service. The interior is a bit dark for me. I much prefer a brighter dining experience. The food was delicious. I had and recommend the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. It's enough for two."
"Went to The Place upon recommendation, and we weren’t disappointed. We started with the amazing banana pepper dip which was probably big enough for four people. Or entrees were delicious as well. Knowing how good everything tasted, we finished with a crème brûlée. So good! We’re looking forward to going back with family."
