Jacob Riis Park, located at 16702 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in New York, is a historic park designed by the city in 1912. The park is home to a famous bathhouse built in 1932 and renovated five years later. In 1972, Jacob Riis Park became part of the National Park Service as part of Gateway. During the summer months, lifeguards are on duty at the swimming beach from 10 am to 6 pm daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic area, playgrounds, outdoor showers, and food services at Bay 9 and the Riis Beach Bathhouse.

Alternatively, you can ride the "Rockaway Park" bound A-Train (or the Far Rockaway A, transferring at Broad Channel) to Beach 116th Street, and then hop on the Q35 (or Q22) bus towards Brooklyn College.
