The Weaving Center at RSHM
● OpenThe Weaving Center at RSHM, located at 50 Warren Avenue in Tarrytown, New York, is a unique institution dedicated to the art of weaving. Founded by Sister Bianca Haglich, RSHM, the Center offers a space for individuals to explore their creativity and learn the craft of weaving. With 27 floor looms of various sizes, warping mills, and a wide selection of yarns available for purchase, the Center provides all the necessary tools for both experienced weavers and beginners. Inspired by her time in Finland, where weaving centers fostered a sense of community and creativity, Sister Bianca established the Weaving Center to be a place where people of all backgrounds could come together to weave and share ideas. Since its inception in 1977 as the Craft Skellar at Marymount College, the Center has been a hub for artistic expression and community building.
