From the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the High Peaks to the east and the Tug Hill Plateau to the west. To reach Stillwater Mountain Trailhead from Old Forge, travelers can turn left on Stillwater/Big Moose Road in Eagle Bay and follow the road for approximately 8 miles. The trail and fire tower are closed between the second Tuesday of October and December 20th for hunting season.
