Established in 1937 as a memorial to Frank Melville Jr., the park features five historic structures including a Greek revival post office, a grist mill, a miller's cottage, a barn, and a meeting house known as the Bates House. These buildings are set among a collection of 17th, 18th, and 19th century homes near the Setauket Village Green. Covering 26 acres, the park boasts ponds, native plants, and more than 200 varieties of trees. Visitors can stroll along winding paths that lead to Conscience Bay and the Caroline Church. The park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and maintained by the Frank Melville Foundation for public use. Please note that fishing is not allowed in the park.
