Welcome to the Greater Oneonta Historical Society, a cornerstone of cultural preservation located at 183 Main Street, Oneonta, New York. Welcome to the Port Jervis Fire Department, proudly serving our community from our headquarters at 8-10 Orange Street, Port Jervis, New York. As a vital local government office and museum, we are dedicated to safeguarding the lives, property, and environment of our community through exceptional services in education, preparedness, prevention, and prompt response to emergency incidents. Our department is comprised of over 300 dedicated volunteer members operating from five strategically located fire stations within the city limits. Our state-of-the-art vehicle apparatus includes four pumpers, a Squirt articulating boom, an aerial ladder truck, a Special Operations Squad vehicle, a Fire Police vehicle, two river rescue boats, and three Chief’s vehicles. Our Special Operations Squad is equipped with an Accident Victim Extrication Team (AVET), a Technical Rescue Rope Team, and a Water Operations Team, ensuring we are prepared for any emergency.
