The Frederick Douglass Sculpture and Water Wall is a beautiful memorial plaza located at 301 Frederick Douglass Circle in New York City. This institution features a bronze sculpture of Frederick Douglass, a renowned abolitionist, orator, author, newspaper founder, and suffragist. The plaza was named in honor of Douglass in 1950, but it wasn't until the 1990s that the City and Central Park Conservancy partnered to redesign the area and pay tribute to his legacy. The plaza was redesigned to not only include a monument to Douglass but to encompass the entire space.
