"I normally don’t make comments, but Dr. Rietz should not have patients. First of all, she asked why was I there and who sent me. She was abrupt and cold. She treated me like I was a burden. Never again nor would I ever recommend her."

"My journey with DR. Notaro started when my primary ophthalmologist detected an anomaly with my retina. He referred me to Dr. Notaro Rietz. My primary ophthalmologist is very thorough and particular with the care he provides. So when he said that he trusted and respected Dr Notaro’s skills, I felt comfortable that she was the right specialist for me. And he was right! On my first visit with Dr Notaro, using her specialized retina scanner, she saw that my issue was a macular hole. She took time to show me the scan, answer my questions, explained my condition and told me what my options were. She has always been very pleasant, professional, and very thorough, and her staff has been great! Wait times have not been an issue. Thanks to DR Notaro, my eye has healed very nicely. Even my primary ophthalmologist words were “She did a great job” Thank you again Dr.Notaro I highly recommend Dr Notaro for anyone with retina issues."

"ZERO STARS! She yelled at my mom and was so inhumane I don’t know how she still has her license to practice medicine. I wish someone would go in there and record her talking to her patients. Disgusting! She should be ashamed of herself for treating an elderly woman like she did. Do NOT let yourself or your parent go to this doctor. There are plenty of retinal specialists in Buffalo, do NOT go to her. Hopefully when she needs a doctor she’ll get the same treatment she gives her patients. Awful human being!"

"A truly unsettling experience with this doctor. I pray she asks the almighty GOD for forgiveness. Her demeanor is firm and matter of fact which is acceptable for a knowledgeable doctor. But rude and disrespectful crosses the line. Her abrupt and forceful physical handling of my 70 year old mother while helplessly laying flat was unnecessary and alarming. There are plenty more retina specialists to see. The entire staff is most patient and kind. Unfortunately, Dr. Notaro is NOT!!"

"This doctor was abrupt, cold and did not show any compassion for my scared and nervous 78 yr old mother who saw her due sudden vision loss in one of her eyes! She was professional and may be skilled but did not spend any time to offer reassurance or kindness to my mother! My Mom was unsure of her treatment options and did not understand her medical diagnosis and the doctor made no effort to further explain her diagnosis or reassured her. She was very matter of fact and told my Mom it was ultimately her choice and she had to move on with her day and dismissed her when there was no one else in the office but us!!!!! I am a healthcare professional & I have never treated a patient that way in my life! Patients come to you for your expertise and skill but also for your compassion, kindness and understanding and we did not receive that from Dr Notaro-Rietz!"
