Welcome to the Homeville Museum, a captivating destination for history enthusiasts and families alike, nestled in the heart of Cortland, New York. Located at 4386 U.S. Route 11, our museum is a proud part of the Central New York Living History Center, offering a vibrant exploration of historical experiences and their relevance to both past and contemporary life.

The Homeville Museum is renowned for its diverse collections, with a core focus on military history, local business, industry, and railroad heritage. At the heart of our exhibits is the remarkable collection of the late Ken Eaton, a WWII veteran who dedicated over 35 years to curating military, railroad, and local history artifacts. His collection, combined with other culturally significant items, creates an immersive experience that connects visitors to the rich tapestry of history.

Our museum is more than just a collection of artifacts; it's a dynamic space where history comes alive. Through engaging presentations, reenactments, discussions, and artistic demonstrations, we invite visitors of all ages to delve into the stories of the past. Our exhibits incorporate the perspectives and insights of local residents, providing a social and cultural context to the treasures on display.

Your admission grants you access to the entire Central New York Living History Center complex, including the Brockway Truck Museum, Tractors of Yesteryear, and an Antique Firehouse. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, with the last admission at 4 p.m., ensuring ample time to enjoy our exhibits. Please note we are closed on Sundays, Mondays, and select holidays.

Our admission rates are as follows: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, AAA members, and veterans with ID, $7 for children aged 6-18, and free for children 5 and under and active military personnel with ID. Join us for special events such as the Military Vehicle Show and Old Timers Band Performance on September 14, and Monsters in the Museum, a family-friendly event full of activities for kids, on October 12.

We recently honored women veterans on June 8, coinciding with New York State’s Women Veterans Recognition Day. The event featured insightful presentations and exhibits, celebrating the contributions of women in the military throughout history.
