The pool is typically open from 12 noon to 6pm, July through Labor Day, depending on weather conditions. In addition to recreational swimming, The River Pool at Beacon also hosts the Annual Great Newburgh to Beacon Hudson River Swim, a popular event that takes place every July. Participants can register in advance for a fee, with proceeds going towards the maintenance and operation of The River Pool as well as supporting the organization's mission. As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, River Pool at Beacon Inc. is dedicated to providing a fun and safe swimming environment for the community while promoting water safety and environmental awareness.
