DeRuyter Lake, also known as Tioughnioga Reservoir, was constructed in 1860 and now boasts 56 year-round homes and over 300 summer cottages. The lake is approximately 2 miles long with an average width of 1/2 mile and depths ranging from 18 1/2 feet to 55 feet near the dam.
