During the pandemic, we remained a beacon of hope by operating a food pantry, hosting COVID-19 antibody testing and vaccinations, offering grief workshops, and partnering with local organizations to ensure the well-being of our community.

Our district office is conveniently located at 778 Castle Hill Avenue, The Bronx, New York 10473. Amanda Farías, a lifelong Bronxite and a proud second-generation Afro-Latina of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, has deep roots in the community she serves. Raised in Soundview, she is a product of local schools and community institutions. Amanda attended P.S. 69X and Holy Cross School, and spent her formative years at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. She is an alumna of Preston High School and St. John’s University, where she earned both her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Government and Politics.
