Center for Advising and Academic Services (Iona University)
The Center for Advising and Academic Services at Iona University, located at 715 North Avenue in New Rochelle, New York, is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential through academic programs and opportunities. The center offers support for all majors, minors, and programs, and students are encouraged to schedule appointments with advisors each semester. Advisors are available both in person and via Zoom to assist with course scheduling and degree audits. Center For India Studies
The Center for India Studies is located at SUNY at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York, United States. This university institution offers a range of programs and events related to Indian and South Asian studies. Recently, the Harvard University Press published an English translation of the Kannada Mahabharata edited by the Center Director. The Center also announced the appointment of Sthaneshwar Timalsina as the new Mattoo Endowed Chair in Classical Indic Humanities. Endowed Scholarship applications for Spring 2024 will open soon, and the Center congratulated the winners of the Fall 2023 Essay and Photo Competition. The Center will host its 2024 Spring Gala, and was honored by Suffolk County Executive for its contributions to celebrating Indian independence. Additionally, the Center sponsored the successful IAWE 25 World Englishes linguistics conference in June 2023. For those interested in Asian and Asian American Studies and South Asian Studies, the Center offers a pathway to major/minor programs. The Center also offers India and South Asia related courses for Spring 2024. Stay tuned for the announcement of Spring 2024 Endowed Scholarships. Institute For Immigrant Concerns
