Welcome to Hudson River Park's River Project Wetlab, a unique native aquarium and marine biology field station located at Pier 40 in Manhattan, New York. Our Wetlab is a remarkable 3,500-gallon flow-through aquarium system that houses over a dozen tanks featuring a diverse array of Hudson River fish species, including striped bass, black sea bass, oyster toadfish, and lined seahorses. Our team carefully collects and releases fish and invertebrate species back into the Hudson River during the appropriate seasons, ensuring a sustainable and educational experience for everyone. Open annually from June through October, the Wetlab offers a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with the fascinating wildlife of the Hudson River.
