Stillwater Mountain Trailhead
Stillwater Mountain Trailhead is a popular park located in Lowville, New York, United States. Situated near Old Forge, this trailhead offers stunning views from both the summit and the recently renovated fire tower. The trail itself is a quick and enjoyable hike, with a new trail cut during the fire tower reconstruction. From the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the High Peaks to the east and the Tug Hill Plateau to the west. To reach Stillwater Mountain Trailhead from Old Forge, travelers can turn left on Stillwater/Big Moose Road in Eagle Bay and follow the road for approximately 8 miles. The trail and fire tower are closed between the second Tuesday of October and December 20th for hunting season.
