"Let me just start by saying, the staff at this urgent care were very friendly, Welcoming and also very patient observant!! Very professional. I’m not sure why they have so many bad reviews, because they treated me with dignity and care and compassion. Some anxiety attacks. But now I’m feeling more calm after my visit last night. Thank you staff at Malta Urgent care you rock!!!!!"

"Worst experience ever. I went in for an urgent matter as I couldn’t get an appointment at my doctors office and she told me I should go to urgent care So I did. When I finally got into the waiting room, the nurse took one hour to come in talk to me for a few minutes said they’d be right back and that I would be getting a CT scan or an ultrasound depending on what was recommended. Then, when he came back an hour later, he told me that I didn’t need either of those and that he would just send me an antibiotic to my pharmacy and come back with my paper shortly so that I can leave over another hour. No one had come back in to give me my paperwork to let me leave. When I contacted my pharmacy, the script had been called within five minutes of the nurse walking out of the room and nobody was trying to discharge me. I’m sure this is probably because of the other reviews that I’m reading that they’re charging for how long you are in their waiting room so they called in my script for something which is not what I needed. I needed a CT scan or an ultrasound on a lump. And then they never discharged me wanted me to continue to wait in their room, and all three of the personnel that were in that area we’re just hanging out at the kiosk when I finally came out of the room to ask them why I had been in there for an hour, waiting for discharge paperwork if the script had been called in an hour ago. I did not get any discharge paperwork and I left and I did not pick up my antibiotic. I will wait until I see my real doctor or at least a real establishment that wants to help people get treatment instead of just helping people get charged for being in waiting rooms for unnecessary periods of time."

"If you read all the reviews, MANY are regarding wait time. I will wait 2 hours here versus 8 hours in an ER, many of which in the area, I do not trust. Everyone knows that patients are called based on urgency. The level of care my son (21) received on 12/18/23 was that of skilled, knowledgeable staff. Check-in, vitals, multiple blood draws, IV insertion, minor surgery by the PA Alyssa, bedside manner, compassion, patience, and sense of urgency were all top-notch. I wish I had a nickel for every time I said "fantastic." Yes, we were there for 7 hours, start to finish. This included waiting, consult, minor surgery, antibiotics via IV, and multiple anxiety attacks. However, I would 100% do this again, over waiting for 8 hours at Albany Med ER."

"This is for management. I have been a visitor to your urgent care facility and have generally found it to be the best in the area. However, I recently had an unfortunate experience that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. During my recent visit, I encountered some issues that I believe need addressing. Firstly, the billing receptionist, Skylar, refused to provide me with a bill, creating unnecessary inconvenience. Additionally, when I requested additional testing from the nurse practitioner, I received the same test I had taken a week prior, despite informing her of the repetition. She dismissed my concerns, stating that I was exaggerating my symptoms. Thankfully the nurse from Ukraine gave me some additional advice on how to overcome this illness. She is one of the best health care professionals I have seen. If you are reading this thank you. As someone seeking urgent care at midnight, it is disheartening to face such challenges. I am perplexed by the recurring need to return for care and the repeated expenditure involved. I have reached out to my insurance company to address this matter and explore available options. I believe improvements are needed to ensure the quality of service matches the reputation your urgent care facility has built. I appreciate your attention to these concerns and hope for a swift resolution."

"I can't say enough great things about my experience at Malta Med Urgent Care (9/28/23) . The nurses were knowledgeable , professional and experienced. As a critical care nurse myself, I know.( they didn't know I was a nurse either) The PA Mike M. was also professional, caring and explained things every step along the way. From the time we arrived, the process was liked a well oiled machine. We arrived at 1:30pm and out the door by 6pm. That included, registration, triage, bloods, CT scan, medication administration and treatment . Out the door in 5 hours!!!! Amazing!!! I never felt rushed, ignored or wondering what's going to happen next. They were super busy too. @ 40 people waiting between the waiting room and assigned rooms. Glad I went there, as they had all the equipment and resources I needed to make a diagnosis and give treatment. Kudos to everyone!!! That's what urgent care should look like."
