The Marshall Field Music Building, located on Wrexham Road in Yonkers, New York, is a key institution within the university. Housed in the beautiful Georgian mansion known as Marshall Field House, the Music Program at the institution thrives in this historic setting. The building features a drawing room that is utilized for a variety of purposes, including lectures, Master Classes, ensemble performances, and student recitals. Students have access to eleven performance and instruction studios, each equipped with audio and recording equipment, for practicing throughout the day. Additionally, there are seven private practice studios, a chamber music studio, a percussion studio, a computer room, and three practice studios available to students at all times. The Electronic Music Studio is equipped with state-of-the-art synthesizers, computers, and MIDI gear to facilitate electronic music composition.
