Originally established in March 1939, we began our journey in a converted store, driven by the passion and commitment of local volunteers. To fund our early efforts, we hosted community dances and fish dinners, which enabled us to purchase our first fire truck—a 500-gallon per-minute pumper from Buffalo—in October of the same year.
