Welcome to the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) located at 45 Mall Drive, Commack, New York. As a dedicated health service provider, OPWDD is committed to enhancing the quality of life for New Yorkers with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, Prader-Willi syndrome, and other neurological impairments. At OPWDD, we coordinate a comprehensive range of services to support individuals in living fulfilling lives. These services are delivered both directly and through a vast network of approximately 500 nonprofit service agencies. Our collaborative approach ensures that about 80% of services are provided by private nonprofits, with the remaining 20% supported by state-run initiatives.
