As one of the oldest libraries in New York City, our history dates back to 1893, when we were first established as the Webster Free Library. Thanks to the generous contributions of Charles B. Webster and Andrew Carnegie, our current site stands proudly at the intersection of 78th Street and York Avenue. At Webster Library, we offer a wealth of resources and activities for all ages. Please note that our second floor closes 15 minutes before the building's closing time.
