Our district encompasses vibrant neighborhoods such as Fresh Meadows-Utopia, Jamaica Estates-Holliswood, Cunningham Park, Auburndale, Bayside, Douglaston-Little Neck, Oakland Gardens-Hollis Hills, Alley Pond Park, Jamaica, Hollis, Glen Oaks-Floral Park-New Hyde Park, Bellerose, and Queens Village. Council Member Linda Lee made history in November 2021 by becoming the first Korean-American and the first woman to be elected to the City Council from this district. Her deep commitment to public service is rooted in her previous role as President/CEO of Korean Community Services (KCS) of Metropolitan New York, Inc. Under her leadership, KCS became a pivotal organization for the Korean and broader Asian communities, offering vital services in aging, education, immigration, workforce development, public health, and mental health.
