"I took my bike in because my rear derailleur was damaged. I was expecting to pay $100-200. The staff was wonderfully pleasant and inspected the derailleur and determined that it needed replacement. I was surprised, nay shocked, at the quote of $35. I was told that the bike woukd be ready within 2 days. I was called about 26 hours later informing me that the bike was repaired. When I picked it up, I was told about the membership and that it would reduce the total cost of the repair. Knowing that I would need my bike serviced in the future, along with the great staff and comparison of pricing, I decided that the $20 lifetime membership fee would be well worth it. My ride home was a test of the workmanship and I am very pleased. I highly recommend REI for repairs."
