Welcome to the Shinnecock Nation Cultural Center & Museum, a unique and enriching destination located at 100 Montauk Highway, Southampton, New York. Established in 2001, we are proud to be the only Native American owned and operated nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization on Long Island dedicated to honoring the legacy of our ancestors and the living history of the Shinnecock people, descendants of the Algonquin. Our museum offers a fascinating journey through over 10,000 years of Shinnecock history, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of our people who have inhabited what is now known as Long Island. Nestled within a 5,000-square-foot facility constructed from Adirondack white pine, our exhibition space is thoughtfully designed to provide an immersive educational experience.
