East Bay Diner Seaford

"I've been eating here for years, this review is overdue. We were immediately seated and served their standard table appetizers, warm fresh bread, and a plate of pickles and Cole slaw. Their Cole slaw is among the best. Our server took our order quickly, mine had soup and salad included, and there was no wait for the soup. Most places that include soup and salad give you a small cup of soup and little plate of salad. Not here, a full bowl and regular size salad. The beef barley soup was tasty and hot, the salad fresh and crisp. By the time my entree came out I was already feeling full. Out came my fried chicken with fries and creamed spinach. Fries were hot and crisp, spinach not overloaded with cream, and great fried chicken, crispy crust and juicy inside. Had to pack up most of the chicken as well as the included dessert. We stopped here driving home from a cruise, and this food was better than some aboard the ship and at least as good as the rest. Their portions are always large, and it's obvious they use fresh ingredients. The prices are so reasonable I wonder how they make a profit. All in all, it's a fantastic place to eat, excellent quality, good selection, and you'll be taking home a doggy bag."

"Everything was fantastic! Best diner experience I've had in quite some time. Server was spectacular - on point, attentive, helpful and friendly! He could give a seminar to be honest. My double burger was cooked to perfection, the deep fried home fries I requested were ridiculously delicious... crispy and not burned! Coffee was smooth and delightful. The location itself was visually stimulating and I truly enjoyed to the fullest extent. Recommended."

"Authentic diner with a deep menu, friendly staff and affordable prices. Great location on Merrick Rd is easily accessible with plenty of parking space. I was surprised to see that they opened at 9AM on a Tuesday morning, but hours have shifted since the pandemic."

"Alfredo is the BEST server!!! He is very friendly and professional. The food in this establishment is delicious. It makes you feel like you are in an authentic diner. The portion size for the food on the menu is amazing. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming. The appetizers of coleslaw pickles, and bread are already put on the table the moment you walk in. My absolute favorite meal that I get every time I go is the Greek Gyro. It is one of the best tasting gyros."
