"Rude lady wouldn't give me my package, asking for a stupid piece of yellow paper with box numbers on the back. She wouldn't accept my box key or my ID, even with the package having my name on it. It's Dumb how they'll accept a piece of paper with my box number over my actual ID."

"Lady named Marybel was EXTREMELY rude. She was quick to dismiss me and told me to get out of the way if i didn’t have the correct code. Turned out it was the right code and she was doing something wrong on her end because i came back in a few minutes later and a nice girl with blonde hair helped me right away."

"I called the Kirtland post office and was put thru to my carrier. She was extremely rude to me immediately. No hello may I help. Just rudely I have had no complaints about the storage lockers on your street. This is the second time I have had the wrong key placed in my box to open the storage locker to retrieve the package. So that was not true. I can't even begin the explain how extremely rude this woman was. Horrible customer service. Without even asking I was told I don't have time to deliver to each house. I never asked her to. I just told her I tried working to get the key to fit for 30 minutes and she kept saying it was my fault. No the key won't fit. I've never had a person be so rude and defensive on the phone. I was kind, but she was very hateful. Now I worry about getting packages in the future. Edit: I called and asked for the post master and explained my situation and what had happened. She was kind and said she would take care of it and talk to the mail carrier. Post Master gets 5 stars. Mail carrier 1 or a 0 if I could give that."

"My package arrived at the post office according to the tracking number. I waited until the next day to get it but it was "return to sender" a day later, I called the sender and she told me it was refused. I could not believe it. Kirtland Post Office told me the address was wrong.. the only thing I saw different the # sign was not added.. come on! I don't think you need to be a rocket scientist to figure things out. This is the fourth time they sent my package back to sender in the past year. Anyone have the same issue? Which post office has better service in the vicinity of Kirtland?"

"I travel constantly so I use general delivery all the time at various places from Alaska to California to Colorado with no problems. I always check with USPS.gov to see which post offices have general delivery and that was listed as one of the services this post office offered. When I went to pick up my package, the lady at the counter, without even looking, told me it had been returned to sender. Why? I asked. She mumbled something about registering - I have no idea what that was about and it didn't matter at that point anyway. These were some very important papers forwarded from another post office. That was 2 weeks ago and the sender has still not seen the returned mail. I do have to say that the young woman at the counter was very nice when she told me how horrible this post office's policies were."
