"Dr. Robert Kavaler is awesome I have been going to see him since he owned the practice, but now that Hackensack took over the front desk & customer service is like going to the DMV horrible. They never pick the phone during work hours and when I leave messages with the staff seems like they don't do their job because I have to call back several times and still no call back from the doctor. Highly recommend new patients to stay away."

"Ever since this practice became part of the hospital, they are horrendous. I love my doctor but that's all. A while back I had a woman Sally Herd curse at me on the phone over a bill that they made a mistake on. In case you didn't know ,Sally is the billing manager for Forest Healthcare. I wonder how many patients left because of her? I wonder if HUMC is aware? Recently I called 7 times to get lab paperwork sent for my physical to go to an outside lab. Never done, so I was forced to go there for bloodwork. I also left messages for my physician regarding specific blood tests that needed to be run. When I got there the phlebotomist said there was no such order for said tests. They can't answer a telephone call, long lunches with nobody to cover, won't relay a message, have rude and arrogant employees. The employees are very unprofessional. This office needs an overhaul from the top down. Get an office manager that knows what's going on. It's sad to see this once wonderful office turn into a circus. Is HUMC aware of the office staff at Forest Healthcare? If not, please let them know! ****HUMC please make each one wear name tags, they like to lie about what their names are when they realize you are about to report them"

"This place should be shut down. The front desk staff can’t schedule appointments in the correct month, there’s no apology for their mistakes. They also yelled at me in front of the whole office. Dr Zhukova was supposed to give me a physical, but refused to listen to anything I had to say, didn’t ask me any questions, wouldn’t answer my questions, did not do an ekg or blood work, but put in her notes we discussed many things that were never mentioned. Then she gave me a Covid test for no reason without my consent or even telling me. On top of it all she claims she physically examined me when she wouldn’t even touch me! The office manager is useless, her only option to me was to get an ekg and have dr zhukova read it whenever she comes back from vacation, or choose another doctor in the practice and pay for a separate visit. They are fraudulently charging my insurance company for tests I didn’t get! Complete negligence! This place has only gone downhill from when I started going over 10 years ago. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place if you are looking for care of any kind."

"Absolutely unprofessional reception staff. They are seemingly allergic to writing down notes and communicating with their coworkers. They do not bother to check schedules when medical staff will be working, and could not care less about your needs. Punctuality is of no urgency with these employees with the one exception of Kayla- who is possibly the only person working there with any sense of professional integrity. The doctors are cordial and helpful, but good luck getting through the receptionists first."

"We started going here years ago and were impressed with the doctors and the ability to get us in on time. It seems over the years that their respect for the patients time has greatly diminished - it is frustrating to watch the minutes ticking away long after your scheduled appointment time as you sit in the waiting room. Also, like other reviews state, their front line staff frequently do not leave me feeling cared for whether dealing with them in person or via phone. The doctors remain high quality, but the management of the practice needs work."
