"I am a Type 1 diabetic for 47 years & have been a patient of Dr. Narayan’s for ~3 years. For 2+ weeks now I have been trying to get prescriptions for my long acting insulin & pen needles that require prior authorizations. Not one person has answered the phone in either the Ft. Lee or Tenafly offices. I NEED my insulin & needles to stay alive. Dr. Narayan & her staff obviously don’t care. Both my pharmacy & insurance have called & sent forms to Dr. Narayan over the past few weeks and the offices have disregarded their requests on MY behalf. I wrote detailed emails To Dr. Narayan & have rec’d no replies. A staff member called & told me my prescription requests were processed and sent to CVS. They disregarded requests for prior authorizations repeatedly and my insurance Can’t approve release of my insulin & needles without speaking to Narayan or her staff. I ran out of insulin over the wknd & was in panic mode. Thankfully I was approved to pay $97 out of pocket at CVS (which I really can’t affford) for one insulin pen that will last me ~2 weeks. As of 3/16/22, I am still in limbo. I will definitely be looking for a new endocrinologist. Issues with Dr. Narayan & her uncaring staff in Ft. Lee have occurred in the past but never to this extent. I would die within a few days without my insulin (and needles) Absolutely cannot understand why I’m being ignored nor why no one answers the phone in Park Medical’s offices where Dr. Narayan practices out of. I would definitely NOT refer any diabetic to Dr. Narayan for treatment, esp not in the Park Medical Ft Lee office. I hate having to write all this but It’s gotten to the point that I may die."
