Our journey began on March 13, 2011, when Father Ioan Proteasa celebrated the first Holy Liturgy in the Alpine, NJ community church. On July 9, 2011, our congregation was blessed by His Eminence Dr. NATHANIEL Popp, Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, and was named “Saint John the Wallachian Mission.”
