The current production, "Birthday Candles" by Noah Haidle, is directed by Amy Fox and follows the life of Ernestine Ashworth as she navigates the ups and downs of aging and the passage of time. Memorial Auditorium, located at 1 East Normal Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey, is a versatile proscenium theater that caters to Montclair State University and the local community. This state-of-the-art facility hosts a wide range of performances and presentations, including dance, drama, concerts, lectures, and more. With a seating capacity of 988 (expandable to 1,000), the auditorium offers comfortable cushioned seating with excellent acoustics. The stage features a 9-foot Steinway Concert Grand Piano and ample space for various types of performances. The gridiron, equipped with a 31 line t-track fly system, allows for seamless scene changes and stage effects. A Wenger acoustical shell can be rolled away for concerts, accommodating both small ensembles and large orchestras.
