DB Drawbridge
Welcome to DB Drawbridge, a historic landmark nestled in the heart of Secaucus, New Jersey. This iconic structure, originally built in 1889 by the New York, Lake Erie and Western Railroad, stands as a testament to the rich railroad history of the region. Spanning the Hackensack River, DB Drawbridge once served as a vital connection between Secaucus and Kearny, facilitating the movement of people and goods across the bustling waterways. Throughout its storied past, the bridge has seen various transformations, having been part of the New York and Greenwood Lake and the Newark Branch, and later supporting New Jersey Transit's Boonton Line. However, with the advent of the Montclair Connection, the bridge was decommissioned in 2002 and has since been left in an open position to accommodate river traffic.
