The Thomas Edison Home, located at 119 Park Way in West Orange, New Jersey, is a museum that offers visitors a glimpse into the life of one of America's greatest inventors. Built in the Queen Anne Victorian style in 1880-82, this home showcases the modern amenities of the time, including hot and cold running water, indoor bathrooms, central heating, and even early forms of refrigeration. The Glenmont Estate, as it is known, is an impressive structure with 23 rooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, and a beautiful conservatory. The estate is located in the historic Llewellyn Park, the first planned residential community in America. Visitors can explore the grounds and learn about the history of the area, as well as the life of Thomas Edison and his family.
