Welcome to David the Prophet & Saint Karas Coptic Orthodox Church, a sacred place of worship located at 6 Franklin Avenue, Oakland, New Jersey. Established in April 2011, our church was blessed with the inaugural liturgy led by His Grace Bishop Paula of Tanta and His Grace Bishop David from the Diocese of New York and New England. We are a vibrant and welcoming community, devoted to celebrating the rich traditions of the Coptic Orthodox faith. Our church is named in honor of David the Prophet, the revered second king of Israel, and St. Karas, the brother of Emperor Theodosius the Great, known for his piety and dedication to the faith.
