"When you are ready – NJRC is the solution. The disease of addiction is complex, destructive, harmful and deadly. The North Jersey Recovery Center offers a terrific program that is comprehensive and most importantly, effective. The facilities and housing are well designed and complement the process of healing and recovery. The staff is professional, skilled, knowledgeable, experienced and empathetic. The team is a comprehensive group of professionals, including therapists with keen insights that specialize in addiction, talented group leaders, medical doctors and professionals specializing in psychiatric care, substance dependence and recovery, and highly qualified nurses and dieticians. NJRC’s team has a highly skilled Technology and Operations group, professional drivers, excellent administration staff, mindful yoga instructors and an amazing and supportive housing team. NJRC also partners with local businesses for art therapy, chiropractic care and appropriate extracurricular activities to support their clients in their journey back to well-being. I spent more than two months with NJRC – in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at first, while living in the supportive and more restrictive PHP house in Kinnelon, NJ. While there, I learned and re-learned life skills and habits that are critical to my success in sobriety. I then moved on to NJRC’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) - moving to one of their IOP houses while enjoying a more normal daily routine in a supportive house and starting my integration back to work, family and my home. For me, the NJRC Program has been well grounded in therapies proven to be effective. Information, guidance and suggestions have been supported by scientific data. The Program is abstinence based, and NJRC leverages their relationships with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and even introduces alternative support programs for client understanding such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. Speakers are brought in person to the center to speak with clients directly and NJRC makes every effort to provide transportation for clients to recovery meetings, doctors visits and all manner of appointments required to live life (e.g. branch visits to banks, haircuts, nail care, clothes and/or grocery shopping, car dealerships, etc.). While no facility, team or program can cure an unwilling participant or patient that suffers from addiction – NJRC will help those who are serious about quitting their addiction(s) by offering a comprehensive restorative approach. I will forever be grateful to the staff, managers and team at NJRC for helping me restore my life to sanity. I am forever grateful to have entered into NJRC’s Program – without it I may never have recovered."
