Hanson Park
Hanson Park, located at 38 Springfield Avenue in Cranford, New Jersey, is a beautiful park and tourist attraction that is managed and maintained by the Hanson Park Conservancy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The conservancy was founded in 2004 by a group of Cranford citizens to support efforts to upgrade and maintain Hanson Park, as well as provide guidance and financial support for the preservation of the Cranford Canoe Club building. One of the initiatives of the Hanson Park Conservancy is the Jan Lilien Education Fund, which provides educational programs on sustainability and environmental awareness. The fund was established in memory of Jan Lilien, a beloved member of the Cranford community. The conservancy also partners with schools, local community groups, and other entities to provide financial and volunteer support for the park.
