Watergate Recreation Area
Watergate Recreation Area is a beautiful park located on Old Mine Road in Hardwick Township, New Jersey, United States. Spanning over 70,000 acres, this park offers a perfect setting for relaxation and picnicking with friends and family. While grills are not provided in the park, visitors are welcome to bring their own for a cookout. However, grilling is not allowed in certain areas such as Kittatinny Point and George W. Childs Park. Ground fires are strictly prohibited throughout the entire park to protect the local plant and animal life. It is important not to bring wood from outside the park, as it may contain invasive species that could harm the ecosystem. Collecting wood within the park for fires is also not allowed, as even the smallest twig could be a vital habitat or food source for protected wildlife.
