Matou's Natural African Hair Braiding

"0 out of 10 Don’t Recommend! I asked for medium knotless braids. I got knots and some were knotless. My middle part was wasn’t straight. I complained to the manager over the phone. She got smart first but then asked me to come up so she can see my hair. She even apologized and said my hair wasn’t right. I took my braids out 2 days later because she said she will make the girl redo them. When I took my hair out my real hair came out in the back. I was so upset that I didn’t even want to go back to get them to get it redone. Long story short I went back to get them redone but another lady did them. She did them way better and the right way. But I’m so pissed about my first experience there that I would never go back. I will say every braider in there is not bad but one of them is or guess when she tired/feeling lazy she does a terrible job! There’s way too many other braiding shops in camden that you can go to that does wayyy better for the same price! I would post pics but I’m Not going to go that far."

"They ok. The owner Is nice and the place was so so. My braids were good just not exactly what I asked for but they came out good so I did not complain.."

"I got my hair done on June 8 and I realized my scalp was very itchy and dry. My sister informed my hair was thinning with the braids. Before l wrote this review, I went to complain to tell them the woman who braided my hair braided too tight. One of the braided stories to play dumb and told me it is SUPPOSE to look like this. I get my hair braided for years and this is NOT it."

"Done today pay 160 gave 10 dollar tip, attempted to contact owner no response. My heart is so broken its the poor black woman who saves up her money and the working black woman that supports these African Braiding professionals and they treat us like trash. This is what I call Botched braids that I am stuck with. I risk my health and waisted my money for this, I'm not African and don't speak the land of the language they come from so they don't care. I GIVE UP, I guess they will always be that way to the ones that support them the most. This was just done today 10/24/2021"

"This shop is very messy and the bathroom had a really bad odor. Matou another lady there were very unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time. The lady who was supposed to braid my hair said she had to leave out for 5 minutes, but was gone for 25 minutes while I just sat there. Then when she came back, she tried to overcharge me for the service that I asked for. So I left. I do not recommend this shop!!!"
