"I have been going to this salon for YEARS off and on and Sandra would be the one to do my hair. I stopped going back in 2017-18 because I know 100% that she put relaxer in my hair (noticed the smell about a week later, my scalp sweat badly) and when I went to wash my hair it was completely straight. Sandra was the one to do my big chop months prior, cutting all of the dead ends off and she essentially became the person to ruin my hair. And I see that years later they’re still doing it. It’s disgusting and lazy because they don’t wanna handle thick or coarse hair. We’ll change your feeling profession! I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone who doesn’t already get relaxers."

"Ive been going to Nancy for a while. At first everything was fine and I loved my hair but then recently I went and I noticed my hair was falling out in crazy amounts very fast right after a wash. It felt like a girl there put relaxer or something in my hair because my curl pattern was completely gone and my hair was falling out very fast in my hand. I told Nancy and the other ladies and they were argumentative. I started to cry. I said I wasn’t going to come back well I did today, and they were very rude towards me. The energy around me was not pleasant to be around. I was very upset being as thought they messed MY hair up with whatever relaxer they put in it without my permission. I left today and will never be back. DO NOT let them do your hair."

"Honestly, I enjoyed the first few times I went. My hair was short but they were able to work with me and still allow me to get a blowout. I started out with Anna, but after a while Anna was no longer there so I started going to another woman. At first, I loved the results. I got compliments often. I did notice an unpleasant smell that lingered in my hair after a few times, even when I washed it but it seemed my hair was actually growing like I wanted so I didnt pay it no mind. Fast forward to a few months later, my hair is breaking off like crazy and my curl pattern is originally GONE! It feels like they gave me a perm or relaxer of some sort without my knowing."

"The place was okay. Stylist were somewhat friendly but it's hard for Dominicans to hide their biases even when they try hard. I understand though, they have a long history of racism so they can't help it, even though most of them look fully black. The reasons why they are able to get hair so straight comes from a history of wanting to distingush themselves from Haitian and African descent. Anyways, let me get to the main point. I went to this salon on November 4, 2022. My hair was greasy from doing my own deep conditioner with Castro oil. Even though I washed it out, Sandra recommended it to be re washed being as though it was still oily. I was skeptical because of the history Dominicans have with secretly putting relaxer in the shampoo and conditioners. I had to drive a 20 minutes to get there so I took a chance. One of the other stylist assured me there was no relaxer in the products because it would cost more. Also told me I had beautiful hair, ok. To make a long story short. Sandra added way too much heat to my hair. She kept going over the same area of my hair over and over with the flat iron and blow dryer. I've been going to dominican salons for years and never had anyone do that before. Nevertheless my hair is long but I've been noticing everytime I comb my hair it seems to be coming out. Not sure if that is from the massive heat or products but I'm scared to put heat in my hair until it stops coming out. I've been using light argan oil, and wrapping it every night. I don't recommend any stylist going through hair stands that many times with heat and a blow dryer. I'm personally not going back and pray that she didn't damage my tresses. I just can't wait until I find a really good salon with someone who actually knows how to treat 4c hair."
