The Great Hall
The Great Hall at Shadow Lawn, located at 400 Cedar Avenue in West Long Branch, New Jersey, is a historic institution with a rich and fascinating history. Built in 1929 on the site of a previous mansion destroyed by fire, the current mansion boasts 130 rooms and was once the private residence of F.W. Woolworth Company president Hubert Templeton Parson and his wife, Maysie. Designed by Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer and his assistant Julian Abele, the mansion features American Beaux-Arts style architecture with luxurious materials such as limestone from Indiana and Italian marble. The mansion has been designated a National Historic Landmark and is maintained according to strict guidelines set by the Department of the Interior.
