Dr. Joanna Leyenaar
β OpenDr. Joanna Leyenaar is a pediatrician and health services researcher located at 1 Medical Center Drive in Lebanon, New Hampshire, United States. Dr. Leyenaar focuses on improving healthcare for vulnerable and underserved children, serving as a pediatric hospitalist and Vice Chair of Research at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Her research interests include care coordination for children with chronic illnesses, disparities in healthcare quality between urban and rural areas, hospital-to-home transitions, integration of mental health in pediatrics, and care of opioid-exposed infants. She is currently funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities for various research projects. Dr. Leyenaar holds a MD from McMaster University, MPH from Harvard University, and PhD from Tufts University. She teaches capstone seminars to guide students in completing high-quality projects.
