The Lancaster Historical Society, located at 226 Main Street in Lancaster, New Hampshire, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the local community. The society offers guided tours of the 243 year old Wilder-Holton House Museum, which is in need of major restoration. Visitors can also explore the Paul Smith Memorial Barn, which houses a collection of historic tools and outdoor items. The society hosts an open air flea market every 2nd Sunday from Memorial Day until Columbus Day, where visitors can purchase ornaments of historic structures in Lancaster and history books. The society also plans to digitize its collection of historic photos and slides in the near future.
