The institution, also known as the Piscataquog Land Conservancy (PLC), is committed to protecting the region's most critical natural lands to provide clean water, wildlife habitat, local food, and opportunities for outdoor recreation. PLC actively monitors and maintains its properties, builds and maintains trails, marks boundaries, and installs informational kiosks and signs for public awareness. The institution is prepared to legally defend its land and easements if they are threatened with encroachment or misuse.

The Brewster Heath Preserve Walking Trail, located on McManus Road in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, offers 1.5 miles of scenic walking trails through upland, wetland, and shoreline terrain. This 111-acre property, protected by the Wentworth Watershed Association and the Town of Wolfeboro Conservation Commission, provides outdoor exploration opportunities for students in grades 4-12 at the nearby Kingswood Regional School District campus. With the support of donations and grants, the Brewster Heath Preserve was established in 2019 to safeguard the Wentworth-Crescent Watershed.
