At Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, we offer a dignified resting place for eligible members of the armed forces, their spouses, and dependents. Our grounds are open to accommodate both casketed and cremated remains, ensuring a respectful and serene environment for all visitors. The cemetery is committed to providing exceptional care, with a dedicated team available to assist with grave location services, especially during challenging weather conditions.
To honor our Veterans, Jefferson Barracks Cemetery features a Virtual Legacy Memorial (VLM) platform, allowing families and friends to share tributes, photos, and historical documents, preserving the legacy of nearly 10 million Veterans. The cemetery is open for visitation every day, with office hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Special accommodations for weekend burials are available for religious purposes and service members killed in action.
Visitors are welcome to pay their respects with floral arrangements, adhering to our guidelines to maintain the beauty and sanctity of the grounds. The United States flag is proudly flown daily, with special ceremonies on Memorial Day to honor those who served.

"I go there often because that is where my husband, who served in Vietnam, was laid to rest. I always go at dusk because that's when the deer come out and start to eat all of the flowers that were left at headstones during the day! It is a beautiful, peaceful place, in both its designation as a National Cemetery and also as a St Louis County Park."
