Welcome to 1904 Flight Cage, a historic gem nestled within the Edward K. Love Conservation Foundation Cypress Swamp at 1 Government Drive, St. Louis, Missouri. Step into a world of mystery and wonder as you explore this enchanting habitat, where a floating bridge and viewing pier guide you through lush hardwoods, vibrant shrubs, and serene aquatic plants. This captivating environment is a year-round sanctuary for cold-hardy birds, offering a glimpse into the rich biodiversity of cypress swamps. Kiel Schwent House
Welcome to the Kiel Schwent House, a cherished landmark located at 198 South Gabouri Street in the heart of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. As a proud part of the Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve, our mission is to promote the preservation and restoration of the historic structures that define the rich cultural tapestry of our town. Founded in 1967, the Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding the architectural treasures of Ste. Genevieve. Our town boasts the finest collection of French Colonial architecture in the United States, including rare poteaux en terre (posts in the ground) and poteaux sur solle (posts on sill) structures. These buildings, along with early 19th-century American and German vernacular homes, tell the story of the diverse migrations that shaped our community following the Louisiana Purchase.
