There was an overall lack of hospitality, which was disappointing compared to past experiences where the previous front office staff were nice. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly to maintain the establishment's reputation for inclusivity and respect for all visitors"

"***UPDATE - Our heat was fixed SEVEN days later. Corporate is refusing to reimburse our 4 nights in a hotel because “the heat was fixed on 1/11/24 and they provided space heaters for our comfort”. However, as I stated below, our heat was NOT fixed on 1/11/24. What I didn’t mention in my review before this update, was that the space heaters blew out our power. So we could only use one SMALL heater at a time in an entire townhome. As you can imagine, not much “comfort” in that. Our bedroom was 40 degrees. What I also didn’t mention, is that after our heat was supposedly fixed on 1/11/24, THEY CAME AND TOOK THE SPACE HEATER PROVIDED, even though I told them it wasn’t fixed. A year ago I would have given this place 5 stars. We were always taken care of my management, staff, and maintenance but it seems with every new manager the service goes down hill. We put in a maintenance request on the morning of 1/10/24 that our heat went out the previous night. We had no one contact us the entire day so I made another maintenance request the same night. On 1/11/24 someone came to our apartment and fixed it while we weren’t home, however when we returned home that night it was not working. Still nothing on 1/12/24 despite leaving multiple voicemails to the office. On 1/13/24 I made another maintenance request. We spent that night with our 2 year old daughter freezing while it was -5 degrees outside and 48 degrees in our home. On the morning of 1/14/24 I called the emergency line which was no help. Still nothing on 1/15/24. Today is 1/16/24 and we STILL have no heat and STILL have not been contacted by a single person. Our apartment is inhabitable at this point and we are currently staying at a hotel. However, my one star goes to the incredibly nice maintenance man who drove all the way from festus to give us his personal space heaters. I didn’t catch his name but thank you for caring about us!!"

"Horrible place to live. Very poorly managed. Only good thing is the area. Many problems just are just handled with the managers special. New property manger doesn't like foreign people(Concerning as they have many). Have personally heard. -Former Front desk"

"So far, I have been very happy here. The grounds are nice and tucked away, semi-private. Very dog friendly, I even found a little field to let mine play in. My amazing leasing Agent, Carla, went above and beyond to work with my needs and limited move-in timeframe. She made my move-in as smooth as possible, and has continued to be extremely helpful, including an issue I had with getting a couch in the door. I’d give 6 stars if I could!"

"I wasn't going to leave a review until this month's community letter went out (I am sure they will not like this review as I am in term; "poking the bear"). Because they said "Magnolia Apartment Homes is dedicated to exceptional customer service..." I figured I had to voice my opinion. So here are my pros and cons. When we first moved here from Texas we found this complex and absolutely fell in love with the grounds, the people, and how close it was to everything. The transition of a big move was going smoothly; that we had no complaints, until the neighboring apartment building caught fire. We went from being in contact with the office staff to basically being cut off from contact when we had certain questions about what we needed to do next. When we finally got in contact with someone; they would not help us get our apartment fixed in a timely manner. That happened in September 2020; everything finally got resolved in January 2021 with people attempting to clean our carpets from the fire. We had to stay in our apartment (that was full of smoke) because they did not offer a vacant apartment or hotel to go into for the duration of the renovations or the removal of smoke damage. They called people to come clean the air ducts out in October 2020; and the technician was in awe that they called them in after a period of time. We were breathing in the soot the whole time. Other than the failed communication of the upper management when the fire happened; I have no other complaints about this complex. As stated above; they have nice grounds, nice people, and it is centrally located to everything and anything you want to go do.. it even has a bowling alley right down the street. The rent is fairly priced; but so are the other apartment's in this general area. (attached are some of the photos from after the fire; you can see what we had to clean up.)"
